Basic strategy reduces the house edge to its minimum. Memorize these common situations and play smarter at 822bet.
| Your Hand | Dealer shows 2–6 | Dealer shows 7–9 | Dealer shows 10 / Ace |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 or under | Hit | Hit | Hit |
| 9 | Double Down | Hit | Hit |
| 10 or 11 | Double Down | Double Down | Hit |
| 12–16 | Stay | Hit | Hit |
| 17 or more | Stay | Stay | Stay |
| Pair of Aces / 8s | Split | Split | Split |
The insurance bet when the dealer shows an Ace may seem tempting, but statistically it increases the house edge. Basic strategy says: skip it and play your hand normally.
A pair of Aces adds up to 12 at most. Split them, and each one can become 21. A pair of 8s gives you 16 — the worst hand in the game. Splitting is almost always the most profitable move in the long run.
With a hand of 10 or 11, the odds of drawing a 10-value card — making 20 or 21 — are high. Doubling down in these situations is one of the most profitable moves in basic strategy.

There's a reason blackjack is the most popular table game in casinos around the world — and 822bet brings that full experience straight to your phone or computer. Unlike many other casino games, blackjack isn't pure luck. There's a real decision to be made on every hand, and players who study basic strategy can bring the house edge down to less than half a percent. That combination of thinking and adrenaline is what makes the game so compelling in the best possible way.
At 822bet, the main focus is on live blackjack tables powered by the world's top providers, including Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play Live. Dealers are trained to deliver an authentic and engaging experience — you can chat with them directly at the table, watch the HD camera feed, and feel the atmosphere of a real casino without leaving your couch. Whether you're in São Paulo, Rio, Belo Horizonte, Manaus, or anywhere else in Brazil, it's the most practical way to play professional blackjack.
Classic blackjack at 822bet follows international standard rules: the goal is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over, while the dealer tries to do the same. Face cards (king, queen, jack) are worth 10; the Ace is worth 1 or 11, whichever is better for your hand. Landing an Ace plus a face card on your first two cards — a natural blackjack — pays 3:2, meaning a R$ 50.00 bet instantly returns R$ 75.00 in profit.
Bets at 822bet start from R$ 5.00 at classic tables, making the game accessible to any Brazilian player profile. Those looking for a more intense experience can access the VIP tables, with limits reaching R$ 20,000.00 per hand. In all cases, deposits and withdrawals are made in BRL — no currency conversion, no hidden fees.
Speed Blackjack is another variant that has won over many players at 822bet. Cards are dealt to all players at the table simultaneously, and whoever decides first gets priority for the next cards. This significantly speeds up the pace of the game — you can fit more rounds into the same amount of time, which also means more chances to hit a blackjack. For players on mobile who want to make the most of every minute, it's an excellent choice.
Infinite Blackjack, developed by Evolution, solved a classic live table problem: overcrowding. In this variant, there's no player limit per table — everyone receives the same two initial cards and makes their decisions independently. This eliminates any wait time and ensures you always have a seat available, regardless of the hour. The table runs on a single base hand for all players, but each one can use options like Six Card Charlie or exclusive Side Bets.
One important detail about live blackjack at 822bet: all results are fully audited and certified by independent game testing bodies. Every deck is physically shuffled on camera, and the streaming system is monitored to ensure no data is tampered with. You play with the same transparency as a land-based casino, with the convenience of a digital environment.
For players just getting started, 822bet recommends trying the practice mode available in classic versions (without a live dealer) before joining a real-money table. It's the most effective way to learn basic strategy, test different approaches, and build confidence without risking any money. When you feel ready, the move to live tables feels natural — and the experience is on a completely different level.
822bet's player support is available in Brazilian Portuguese 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether you have questions about the rules of a specific variant, how the blackjack bonus system works, or how to withdraw your winnings, the team responds quickly via live chat. Playing informed and with confidence is part of the complete experience 822bet offers every Brazilian user.
822bet protects all your personal and financial data with bank-grade SSL encryption, in full compliance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Lei nº 13.709/2018). Your information is never shared with third parties without your consent. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.
